In 1992, Dave Reider, founded Survival Tech, a company that provided earthquake first aid kits for schools, businesses and others. Then in 1994 he was approached by his finance manager, Marcy Sherman, an avid supporter of dog rescue groups, about developing a first aid kit for dogs and cats. It seemed that she was always searching through her own Survival Tech First Aid Kit whenever her two dogs needed first aid and felt there was a need for a kit specifically for pets. After researching the idea for more than one year, BOWMEOW Pet Products was established. We took First Aid Kits to many pet conventions, shows and charity events for animals. As we attended these events, we realized that there was a great number of dogs and cats that needed rescue and medical help. BOWMEOW Pet Products began expending its product line so that it could grow, enabling it to donate a larger portion of its proceeds to animal rescue.
